Traveling Beer Sheva

Be'er Sheva is located in the northern edge of the Negev desert, 115 kms (71 mi) south-east of Tel Aviv and 120 kms (75 mi) south-west of Jerusalem.  It is the largest and most successful city in the Negev and the sixth largest city is Israel.  It is a modern day city that is home of the highly respected Ben Gurion University and the Soroka Medical Center.  It is also becoming a real hub of college life. This is a fascinating city, mixed with old and new, and changing and growing all the time.  It is well worth a stop here to check out Israel’s capital of the Negev.
